El Paso, Texas is home to approximately three quarters of a million people, and sits directly across the US/Mexico border from Juarez, Mexico. The population of El Paso is over 90% Hispanic, and mirrors Mexico in almost every aspect of its culture.
Missions to El Paso provides you the oportunity to partner with local churches and outreach orginazations which minister to the people of the city; many who are first generation Americans.
Mission oportunities are numerious, but may include church maintaince and light construction, VBS and back yard Bible studies, evangelism, women's shelter ministry, and cooking and serving meals in a local shelter.
Missionaries to El Paso will stay in a local hotel, and dine in local restaurants.
The opportunity will also be available, upon the groups discretion, to spend the day in Mexico visiting an orphanage, church, and Christian community center. And, to complete the experience, a visit to the local market for some afternoon shopping.
